Your Wingman For High-Stakes Leadership
Elite Leadership Coaching for High-Stakes Decisions
Every fighter pilot has a wingman because no leader performs at their best alone. The same is true for executives. 1:1 Flawless Leadership℠ Coaching pairs senior leaders with experienced coaches who have led under real pressure, helping them make sharper decisions, lead with greater clarity, and improve performance where it matters most.

Why doesn’t executive development change what happens under pressure?
The higher the leadership role, the higher the stakes, and the lonelier the call. Your most senior leaders make the decisions that, in the digital age, can affect your business within days rather than months. Most of the development they receive is built for classrooms and cohorts. Not for the specific, high-stakes calls they have to make on a Tuesday afternoon with only half the picture and a rapidly evolving market.
That gap is expensive. At the top, one decision under pressure can reshape a quarter. The same mistakes repeat because no one debriefs them. The energy from the last program fades within 90 days. And the leader keeps carrying the burden alone, because there is rarely a safe place or sounding board to think a hard call through before making it.
These are the decisions that rarely get a second take.

Chat to a PilotHow does 1:1 Flawless Leadership Coaching actually work?
Coaching here is bespoke, not generic. Each engagement combines the structure of the Flawless Leadership methodology with the openness of one-on-one executive coaching. The structure keeps the work rigorous and focused. Our coaches just focus on goal setting. The objective is to help your leaders achieve the goals that drive your business results.
The structure is the Three Ms: Mindset, Method, Moments.
Mindset
How a leader thinks, evolves, and stays grounded when pressure spikes.
Method
The repeatable system that turns intention into action. It grows the leader and equips them with the tools and skills to pay it forward and grow the team.
Moments
The high-stakes moments where how you show up determines the outcome.
What an engagement looks like
Every engagement is confidential and one-on-one. Sessions run monthly or twice-monthly over 6 to 12 months, long enough for change to show up in how a leader operates, not just how they talk about operating. Delivery is either virtual or in person, tailored to the leader’s schedule.
The spacing is deliberate: close enough to stay inside live decisions, with enough room between sessions to test what changed. There is no fixed syllabus. The work starts from the leader’s real mission and current context, then applies the Three Ms to whatever they are carrying right now.
Who coaches your leaders?
The coaches delivering your program are not frameworks-and-feedback coaches. Each one is a senior military leader, from squadron commanders to retired generals, who has made high-stakes decisions where the cost of a wrong call was measured in more than a missed quarter.
Every coach is ICF certified, with a demonstrated track record of more than a decade coaching in the corporate space. So your leader gets both sides of the equation: command experience under real pressure, and the professional coaching craft to turn it into measurable growth. Coaching with genuine leadership credentials behind it, not advice that shifts with the room. Meet the coaches who would work with your leaders.

What changes after working with a coach
The shift shows up in the new beliefs and behaviors of your leaders, not a certificate.
Your leaders make faster, cleaner calls under pressure, with less second-guessing and more clarity on what actually needs to be decided right now. Strategy gets sharper, so the team knows what matters this quarter instead of running at everything. Decisions and actions are debriefed rather than repeated, which turns one good call into a pattern the whole team inherits.
Pressure stops setting the tempo. The leader does.
Over 6 to 12 months, that compounds into leadership growth you can see, measure, and point to when the investment gets reviewed.
Give your most strategic leader a wingman
If one leader’s decisions move your results, give them support that matches the stakes. A short call is the fastest way to scope the right engagement.

Frequently asked questions
How is this different from sending a leader to a generic executive coaching program?
A generic program teaches a fixed curriculum. 1:1 Flawless Leadership Coaching starts from your leader’s real decisions and applies a proven method to them. It is the same system Afterburner has used to train 2 million leaders, now delivered one-on-one. The work is bespoke, confidential, and anchored to outcomes, not theory.
Can coaching actually improve decision-making under pressure?
Yes, when it is built for it. Less than half of training gets applied on the job (LEADX), because most of it never reaches the real decisions a leader makes. This coaching works on the calls your leader is actually making, so better judgment under pressure becomes a habit, not a takeaway.
How does 1:1 Flawless Leadership Coaching close the strategy-to-execution gap for a single leader?
It works the gap where it actually opens: the individual leader. Using FLEX, the Method within the Three Ms, the coach helps your leader turn intent into action on a live priority, then debrief what happened and adjust. Accountability becomes a habit, not a meeting. The plan stops living in a deck and starts showing up in decisions.
Who does the coaching, and what makes them credible?
Your leader works one-on-one with a senior military leader turned executive coach, from squadron commanders to retired generals, all ICF certified, each with a demonstrated track record of more than a decade coaching in the corporate space. Every coach is trained in the same method, which traces back to Afterburner’s CEO Christian “Boo” Boucousis, a former RAAF F/A-18 pilot with more than 1,000 missions flown who wrote Flawless Leadership. It is backed by 30 years of results. You can meet the coaches on the Meet the Team page.
What is the Three Ms structure the coaching is built on?
The Three Ms are Mindset, Method, Moments: the three things every leader can control. Mindset is clarity under pressure. Method is FLEX, the systematic approach to getting strategy done. Moments is leading with intention across People, Impact, and Now. Most programs teach one; the coaching works all three on your leader’s situation.
How soon will we see measurable leadership growth?
Most engagements run 6 to 12 months, with monthly or twice-monthly sessions. Real change shows up in months, not weeks, because it is measured in how your leader operates, not in seat time.
Is the coaching confidential?
Yes. Every engagement is confidential and one-on-one. Senior leaders need a place to think through the hardest calls without it becoming a performance review. No HR file, no board readout, no audience. What is discussed stays between your leader and the coach, which is what makes the work honest enough to change anything.
Is this based on the Flawless Leadership book?
Yes. The coaching applies the same method Christian “Boo” Boucousis wrote about in Flawless Leadership: the Three Ms and FLEX, turned into one-on-one work on your leader’s real situation. The book is the thinking; the coaching is the practice. The method is used by leaders around the world.
How does 1:1 coaching fit alongside our broader leadership development programs?
It is the individual layer. Cohort programs build shared language across a team; 1:1 coaching sharpens the leaders carrying the most weight. Many organizations run both, layering team programs with targeted coaching at the top. 85% of our clients are Fortune 500.
What return on investment can we expect from executive coaching?
The independent research is strong. Organizations that provide individual coaching for executives see a 70% increase in individual executive performance, a 50% increase in team performance, and a 48% increase in organizational performance, and executive coaching programs consistently deliver ROI between 340% and 700% (FMI Corp). With 1:1 Flawless Leadership Coaching, that return is anchored to your leader’s real decisions and reviewed against the goals you set at the start.
